Responding to the NHS’s plans for Astley Ainslie site

NHS Lothian’s draft 5-year strategy (the Lothian Strategic Development Framework) seems to indicate that the NHS plan to sell the Astley Ainslie lands in the near future:

“We will also bear in mind our Anchor Institution responsibilities in the disposal of property we no longer have a use for. As an example, we would want to influence the ultimate use of the Astley Ainslie site, considering the need for affordable housing that many of our health and care staff need access to.” (page 15)

The NHS are seeking comments on the draft plans. AACT have shared a formal response and you can amplify this feedback by writing your own response and emailing loth.lsdf@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk. There have been indications that this address is still accepting feedback.
